Context, Confidence, and Competence in Engineering Mathematics
The Engineering Math Resource Center is a resource offered by the College of Engineering to support students in understanding how math is used by engineers. Its purpose is to help provide an engineering context for the principles learned in math courses, increase confidence in approaching math-based engineering problems, and help students graduate with a greater degree of math competency. Students can schedule appointments for a 30-minute individual or group consultation with Math Center consultants to help them understand fundamental math principles and techniques and learn how they are used by engineers. Students seeking help on specific problems and assignments from math courses should still stop by the Engineering Tutoring Center or the Aggie Math Learning Center. On the other hand, students who do not understand the fundamentals of a math topic can and should schedule a consultation with the Math Resource Center. Consultations can be scheduled from the website at https://engineering.usu.edu/students/engineering-math-resource-center/index
